1) CONFLICT FREE SOURCING

At Titan Zip Fasteners we realize our roles and responsibility towards the society. We are very careful about the material used in our products. As we manufacture all sorts of zippers , our products are also made out of zinc , brass and aluminium othrt than polyester and delrin. As a socially responsible organization we make sure that our products do not contain 3T+G that is Titanium , Tin , Tungsten and Gold(CONFLICT MINERALS). If there are any traces of these metals found in our products these might be part of impurities in the ore itself. We educate our suppliers about the same and audit our supply chain in order to avoid use of any of these metals.

RELEVANCE OF THE CONFLICT MINERAL POLICY

Certain mines or sources of the 3T+G minerals in Central Africa are under the control of certain anti social organizations which violate human rights in order to make profit. These countries are mainly the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) and nine adjoining countries: Republic of Congo, Central Africa Republic, South Sudan, Zambia, Angola, Tanzania, Burundi, Rwanda and Uganda.

So the militias or the armed groups in DRC and other adjoining countries indulge in anti social and in human activities not only violating global labour laws but even human rights . They practice forced labour in unfavourable conditions to an extent that it has lead to many deaths . Many human rights ordganisations across the globe have abolished the use of 3T+G minerals and we are in full support of the same.

We at Titan Zip Fasteners are determined to provide only DRCconflict free products . We educate our suppliers and in cooperation with them strive to keep that supply chain as transparent as possible . We expect our suppliers to obtain materials from environmentally and socially responsible organizations. On auditing or surveying if we find out that the supplier has not complied with our DRC CONFLICT FREE policy , we hold the right to take appropriate legal action and discontinue any further purchase there on .

In case materials supplied to Titan Zip Fasteners must contain these minerals then it is the responsibility of the supplier to ensure that the minerals must orginate outside the DRC, it could be scrap or recycle or be supplied by Certified Conflict Free smelters.




2) WATER TREATMENT / WASTE MANAGEMENT

We are located in a city where clean water is a luxury. Being a socially conscious organization, we ensure effective treatment and management of waste water to best of our knowledge. Titan Zip Fastener Industries is located in a government approved industrial area with a Common Effluent Treatment Plant to treat waste water. Whatever waste water that the unit produces , is first treated at the company’s private Effluent Treatment Plant and still is not released in the sewer system. It is then directed to the Common Effluent Treatment where further treatment takes place before releasing it back into the sewer system.




3) Child Labour and Forced Labour Prohibited

Titan zip fastener industries completely prohibits child labour. We have very stringent appointment rules. The minimum age of recruitment is 18 years old . This is evidenced through various documents provided by our employees for eg school records , adhaar card , voter id card or certificate by a medical officer . We at Titan Zip Fastetner Industries believe that a happy workfoce is directly proportional to efficiency , productivity and quality. We strictly prohibit forced labour and encourage a self motivating workplace environment.

4) Health and safety

At titan zip fastener industries, we make sure that the workplace environment is healthy and safe for its employees. We provide special training and education for the same and this is personally supervised by the senior management. We at titan zip fastener industries, take adequate measures and have certain procedures in place to prevent accidents and injuries at the production floor by complying to all legal requirements. The safety and wellbeing of all the workers is the responsibility of the head of department who is trained and equipped for the same .
